"Wait, am I the only one learning this maamer"?
So if they print a different one, you'll learn something else?!
Why are the most listened to songs on 24\6 'Swishy Yum Yum' and 'Alef Beis' from Zusha?
The reason is, because people don't listen to music for the music anymore. They like following trends, and frankly, ever since TYH came about, trends have taken over music.
[Lehoir from a ma'aseh of the Rebbe Rashab that when the Chofetz Chaim told him that he wanted to add chassidus to the curriculum in his yeshiva, the Rebbe Rashab laughed and said, "Er meint er ken hob'n chassidus ahn ah Rebbe". Yesh leimar that the outcome of that is TYH, v'ein kan hamakom.]
Lately the oilam has been singing 'Uvechol Zos', and it became everyone's most listened to song. [Alongside a whole bunch of chilul hashems like 'I wanna be like Zusha', and 'I don't need your bekishe']. Is it the style that they like? No, because all their other most listened to songs are a bunch of EDM TYH songs. Is it the singer that they like? No, because they never even heard of the singer before. It's just a trend. Everyone is just following each other in circles like a herd of sheep.
What happened to the good old days of koching in MBD or Avraham Fried?
In Oholei Torah, every week the mashpia-roshi chooses a maamer, and a bunch of copies are printed. Once, at a farbrengen, R' Shmulik Shur expressed himself, saying, "Copies of a maamer? Who ever heard of printing copies of a maamer?! So if they print a different one, you'll learn something else?!...You have to koch in chassidus".
