Broken Letters - The Autocorrect Monster

Quick, quick. I typed fast. I suddenly perked up. I saw a black puff peek out from behind my screen.
I typed a word, “Takeh.” Suddenly, with a murky flash, it morphed into “Taken.” I looked to the left - something zipped. To the right, then it was gone. I doubled down
I produced the next word: “Vort.” Right away a dark sludge leaped at my word. It ripped it and replaced it with its own. I stood there, holding the broken letters, looking at them. This was too much for me. The letters read: “Vortex.”
I took out my backspace and the figure slithered back to its hole. I hit the space. Then I wrote a simple word “Botul.” With my back key in hand, it seemed like I had won this battle. But then my phone flew out of my hands, into someone else’s. He tapped the screen and handed it back to me. I asked him “Why?” He shrugged and walked off.
I raised the phone to my eyes. My Botul was replaced by “Botulism.” Botulism? What even is that?
I was taken into a vortex. And given botulism - some sort of toxin. Black clouds all around me and people zapping my phone away from me.
“what is going on here” I whispered.
“Correction, it’s ’What’s going on here?”
